01. What types of products do you offer?

We offer a selection of handmade Indigenous creations, including:

• Dreamcatchers;
• Talking sticks;
• Indigenous drums;
• Necklaces and jewellery;
• Medicine bags;
• Decorative pieces and unique artworks.

Each piece is made with care. Its product description explains the materials used and, where relevant, the symbolism associated with it.

02. Where are your creations made?

Our handcrafted pieces are made in the Lac-Saint-Jean region of Québec by Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan, an Ilnu artisan from the community of Mashteuiatsh.

His work draws on his identity, his connection to the land and the knowledge that informs his practice.

03. How do I place an order?

You can order directly from our online store:

1. Choose your product and any available options;
2. Add it to your cart;
3. Review your order and contact details;
4. Complete checkout in our Shopify store.

04. What are your processing and delivery times?

Order preparation

Our usual processing time is 1 to 3 business days before shipping.

Standard delivery within Canada

Allow approximately 7 to 10 business days after shipping.

Drums and personalized orders

These items may require up to 15 business days of preparation before shipping.

These timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on the carrier, destination and busy periods. Preparation time is in addition to delivery time.

05. How can I track my order?

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email. If your shipment includes tracking, the information needed to access it will be provided in that email.

If you cannot find the confirmation, check your spam or junk folder.

If you have any questions, email us at artisanatautochtone@outlook.com and include your order number.

06. What is your return and refund policy?

You have 30 days after receiving your order to request a return, subject to the terms of our policy.

Returned items must be:

• Unused;
• In perfect condition;
• In their original packaging.

Personalized, custom-made or used items are not eligible for return.

Please read our return policy for the full conditions and instructions before sending an item back to us.

07. What guides the making of your creations?

Dave makes his creations by hand, paying particular attention to the materials, details and meaning of each piece.

• Respect for the traditions and knowledge that inform his practice;
• Carefully selected natural materials;
• Intentional, handmade craftsmanship;
• Information about the materials used in the product descriptions.

The creations are not industrially produced. Natural variations in the materials and the handwork give each piece its own character.

08. Can I personalize a product?

Some creations can be personalized, depending on available materials, what can be made and the time required.

To discuss a particular colour, material or idea, contact us before placing your order. We can explain what is possible and the associated preparation time.

10. Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, we ship internationally. Shipping costs and delivery times vary by destination.

Before ordering, check your country’s import requirements, particularly for creations containing:

• Feathers;
• Fur or leather;
• Wood and other natural materials.
