Purification – rituals, balance, and the energy of the land
The Purification collection brings together spiritual objects from Indigenous traditions, used to restore balance, release heavy energies, and harmonize both places and spirits. Purification is a sacred act, central to ceremonial practices, connecting humans, the land, and the spiritual world.
My name is Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan, an Ilnu artisan from Quebec. Each piece in this collection is handcrafted with respect for ancestral teachings, nature, and the intention that accompanies the ritual.
My Artist's Signature – Creative Process
Each smudge fan I create is assembled by hand according to a respectful and conscious artistic approach. This is my signature. It is what makes each piece carry presence and intention.
Feathers are carefully selected for their balance, movement, and symbolism. They are assembled with natural materials such as moose hide, real fur, and elements from the land.
The handle is crafted with carefully chosen natural moose hide, ensuring comfort and consistency with the overall work.
The assembly is done slowly, with respect for the materials and the action it accompanies.
Each smudge fan is a unique piece, designed to be used in a respectful and conscious setting.

Traditional purification tools
This collection brings together the tools traditionally used in purification and smudging ceremonies. It includes purification feathers, smudge fans, sage, and abalone shells, each playing a specific role in the ritual.
Creations crafted with intention
Each purification feather and smudge fan is handcrafted, in a slow and conscious rhythm. The work does not aim for aesthetic perfection, but for balance, accuracy, and energetic clarity.
Spiritual objects carrying memory
The pieces in the Purification collection are not mere accessories. They are spiritual objects carrying memory, imbued with sacred knowledge passed down through generations of Indigenous peoples in Canada.
Choosing an object from the Purification collection means honoring an ancient gesture, respecting tradition, and entering into a relationship with a living practice, rooted in the land and in Indigenous transmission.
