🦌 Indigenous legend about rebirth and healing
Long ago, the Earth fell into an endless winter. Rivers lay dormant beneath the ice, and fires died out in villages. Humans had forgotten how to thank the world. In the silence of the woods, a white stag wandered alone, its breath shining like a silver mist.
A sick child, too weak to get up, saw it through the window. His tired eyes met those of the deer, and in that gaze, he saw the promise of spring. The next day, he asked that the door be opened. The wind came in, cold but alive, and the deer approached without fear.
"I do not bring you healing," said the deer. I bring you the reminder that light always returns to those who wait for it.
He rested his muzzle on the child's forehead. At that touch, the snow around the village began to melt, revealing the green grass hidden beneath the ice. The elders said that the Earth had recognized the pure faith of a human heart.
In the morning, the white stag disappeared. Only its tracks remained, forming a perfect circle in the middle of the clearing. Since that day, healers from the northern nations have prayed to the Breath of the White Stag when they seek peace of body and mind.
