Indigenous certification – Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan
Indigenous Certification
I am Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan , an Innu artisan from the community of Mashteuiatsh . This page confirms the authenticity of my creations and my commitment to the transmission of knowledge and the preservation of the traditions of my culture.
Origin and belonging
I am a respected Innu artisan within my community. Each piece I create is rooted in my identity, my experiences, and the teachings passed down by the elders. My work reflects the living culture of Mashteuiatsh, with respect, rigor, and integrity.
Authenticity of the works
All my creations are handmade, one by one. I do not offer any mass production. I use carefully selected natural materials, such as:
- 100% genuine moose leather
- 100% natural rooster feathers
- genuine furs carefully selected
- wood harvested in a respectful manner
- stones and elements carrying meaning
Each piece possesses its own energy, intention, and unique character.
Ethical and cultural practices
- Deep respect for Innu traditions and symbols
- Handcrafted, slow, and intentional
- Traceability and transparency regarding the materials used
- Protection of knowledge and cultural awareness
Official certification
My Indigenous certification can be verified on the official First Nations Identification website. This platform lists recognized Indigenous artisans and businesses to provide complete transparency to the public.
