Collection: 8-Inch Indigenous Dreamcatchers – Protection, Balance and Statement Pieces

Handmade 8-Inch Indigenous Dreamcatchers from Quebec

Our 8-inch dreamcatchers are larger handmade pieces created in Quebec by Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan, an Ilnu artisan from Mashteuiatsh. Their size gives the weaving, feathers and natural materials more room to stand out, creating a stronger visual presence.

Each piece is primarily made using genuine moose hide, natural feathers and, depending on the design, various semi-precious stones. Colours, textures and details vary, making each dreamcatcher one of a kind.

Why choose an 8-inch dreamcatcher?

An 8-inch design balances visual presence with versatility. It works especially well in a bedroom, living room or quiet space, or wherever you want to showcase the craftsmanship of the weaving and natural materials.

Its size also makes it easier to appreciate the details: the hide-wrapped hoop, central weaving, movement of the feathers and stones used in certain pieces.

Individually handcrafted

Every handmade dreamcatcher is created individually. The hide is worked around the hoop, the centre is woven by hand, and the feathers are chosen to form a balanced composition.

Natural variations in hide, feathers and stones are an integral part of the artwork. Even when the design follows a familiar inspiration, no two pieces are made exactly alike.

A more prominent piece for your space

An 8-inch dreamcatcher is often chosen by people who want something more noticeable than a smaller model without choosing a very large work. Hung near the bed or on a wall, it can become a focal point while retaining a natural, balanced appearance.

Beyond its visual appeal, a dreamcatcher is associated with sleep, dreams and protection. Its size does not change that symbolism, but it gives the piece a greater presence in the room.
