Whether for meditation, traditional singing, or as a sacred art object, our shamanic drums are created with respect for the ancestral traditions of the First Nations. Gift yourself the heartbeat of Mother Earth with an instrument crafted with intention and spirituality.

Indigenous Drums – Mother Earth's Heartbeat
Indigenous drums embody much more than just an instrument. They carry a living rhythm, associated with the land, memory, and transmission. Their sound accompanies moments of prayer, song, contemplation, and intention.
Each drum in this collection is handcrafted by Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan, an Ilnu artisan from Quebec, who comes from a family of drum carriers. In tradition, the creation process is a spiritual endeavor, guided by calling, respect, and responsibility.
My Artist's Signature – Creative Process
Every drum (teueikan) I create is handcrafted according to a deep, slow, and respectful artistic approach. This is my signature. It is what makes my drums recognizable, coherent, and meaningful.
To make a drum, it is important to come from a lineage of drum carriers. I come from a family of drum carriers on the Thisselmagan side, according to my ancestors. This transmission is an integral part of my relationship with the drum and how I create it.
I have been making drums for several years. I take my time with each one, because the drum is one of the works that resonates most deeply with my Pekuakamiulnuatsh roots.
Making a teueikan is for me a true work of connection with my ancestors. Each drum is assembled in a spirit of respect, listening, and presence.
I take the time to stretch each hide precisely so that once dry, the drum can offer a vibrant, balanced, and lasting sound. This step is essential in the birth of the sound.
Each drum is hand-assembled to achieve the right tension, capable of accompanying song, meditation, ceremonies, and personal practices.
A mallet (stick) is also made for each drum. Its creation is inspired by elements of the territory: fur, 100% genuine moose hide, and natural materials, in the same spirit as all my works.
Each drum resonates with Mother Earth, and it is this relationship that often guides the final design, colors, and decorative elements.
No drum is reproduced identically. Each piece is unique.
