These Indigenous talking sticks are crafted from driftwood collected on the shores of Lake Piekuakami (Lac-Saint-Jean), chosen for its character and strength. The wood is hand-worked to preserve its natural identity while ensuring a solid and durable grip.
Red fox fur, renowned for its warm, contrasting hues, lends a striking visual presence to each piece. The construction is achieved using genuine moose leather, ensuring a robust and consistent finish. 100% natural feathers complete the ensemble with balance and without excess.
Each staff is entirely handcrafted by Indigenous artisan Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan. No two staffs are exactly alike. Natural variations in the wood, fur, and feathers are an integral part of the creation and confirm the unique and authentic character of each piece.
