The Spirit of the Object

Inspired by ancestral First Nations traditions, this 8-inch dreamcatcher is associated with the watchful presence of life, that silent presence that observes, protects, and maintains balance. Its generous diameter makes it an exceptional piece, ideal for a wall of honour or a central space where it can truly shine. By welcoming this creation by Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan, you are not simply installing a work of art; you are honoring a millennia-old and respectful relationship with life, true to the spirit and cultural sovereignty of the Ilnuatsh.

--- ⬥ ---

The sacred dialogue between the patient gesture of the craftsman and the soul of boreal materials.

My signature as an artist – my creative process

Each dreamcatcher I create is handcrafted using a demanding artistic process, rooted in tradition yet open to contemporary aesthetics. It's my signature. It's what makes my pieces recognizable and consistent.

I select 100% genuine moose leather for its suppleness, durability, and the connection it represents with the animal. The design is intentionally minimalist to highlight the material, its balance, and its form.

The center is meticulously handwoven with natural thread. I incorporate semi-precious stones chosen for their presence and symbolism.

The feathers used are 100% natural: rooster, pheasant, partridge, bustard, goose, or other species depending on the artist's inspiration. Each feather is carefully selected to preserve the visual harmony of the artwork.

The design research is done in collaboration with Vicky, bringing a contemporary touch and a creative dialogue that enriches each piece.

Each dreamcatcher is guided by the inspiration of the moment. None are reproduced exactly. Each piece carries its own presence and its own symbolism.

Each dreamcatcher is a unique handcrafted piece.
