Three creations. One intention: to reconnect with oneself, with nature, and with what truly matters.

Returning to essentials doesn't always require changing everything. Sometimes, it's enough to create a few markers around us that remind us of what we want to preserve: our calm, our balance, our intentions, and our connection with living things.

The Back to Basics set brings together three complementary handcrafted creations: a moose hide dreamcatcher, a medicine bag containing sage and a semi-precious stone, and a bracelet inspired by the medicine wheel.

Each object has its own symbolism. Together, they form a collection designed to accompany different spaces in life: the place where one rests, what one keeps close, and what one wears daily.

The dreamcatcher - watching over your space

Originating from Anishinaabe traditions, the dreamcatcher is associated with sleep, symbolic protection, and the intention one wishes to set in their space. Its circle evokes the cycle of life, while its weaving recalls the idea of a filter between what one wishes to keep and what one chooses to leave behind.

The one included in this set is handcrafted with genuine moose hide and natural rooster feathers. The feathers bring movement and lightness to the creation and are traditionally associated with breath and the symbolic descent of peaceful dreams.

It naturally finds its place near the bed, in a resting area, or in a personal space where one wishes to create a calmer presence.

The medicine bag - keeping what is meaningful close

In several Indigenous traditions, the medicine bag is a personal object in which elements chosen for their significance are kept: plants, stones, feathers, or other objects carrying a particular intention.

The bag included in this set is handmade from genuine moose hide. Inside are:

  • sage, traditionally associated with purification;
  • a semi-precious stone, chosen as a natural and symbolic element.

Sage plays an important role in various traditional practices of purification and recentering. Your site specifically explains its use to accompany a personal ritual, purify an object, or symbolically mark the beginning of a new cycle.

The bag can then evolve with the person who receives it. They can keep the elements already present or respectfully add something that has particular meaning for them.

The medicine wheel bracelet - carrying balance with you

The third element was chosen to accompany the person beyond their personal space.

Made with natural bone beads and glass beads, this bracelet is inspired by the medicine wheel and its four colors. The medicine wheel is present in various Indigenous traditions, with teachings that may vary depending on the Nations. It evokes the cycles of life, the four directions, and the search for balance between different dimensions of existence.

The four colors placed in the center of the bracelet thus become a subtle reminder: to return to one's center, to move forward with intention, and to seek balance on one's own path.

The natural bone beads also strengthen the connection with living things and the land, while the glass beads bring the four symbolic colors to life. The bracelet is designed to be worn daily, as a marker to keep with you.

Three creations, one path

This is the passage I absolutely want to keep, because it's what truly sells the concept:

The dreamcatcher accompanies the space where you settle.
The medicine bag keeps what carries an intention close.
The bracelet accompanies the journey, day after day.

Three different creations, united by a single idea: to slow down, regain balance, and return to essentials.

Each piece is handmade in Quebec by Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan, Ilnu artisan, using materials chosen for their natural character, durability, and symbolism.

The set includes

  • 1 3-inch dreamcatcher in genuine moose hide and natural rooster feathers
  • 1 medicine bag in genuine moose hide
  • sage inside the bag
  • 1 semi-precious stone inside the bag
  • 1 medicine wheel inspired bracelet with natural bone beads and glass beads

As each creation is handmade with natural materials, slight variations may be present from one set to another.
